This is the official home page of The Royal Necromantic Society. The Royal Necromantic Society is a scholarly organization whose chartered purpose is to engage in studies which shall lead to a fuller understanding of necrology and of the eschatology of death, and to the preservation of those traditional mantic arts, sciences and philosophies which pertain to life, death, undeath, and the mysteries beyond them, The Royal Necromantic Society shall be especially devoted to the preservation of such traditional arts, sciences and philosophies in those cultures in which they are being displaced by alien cultural influences, and shall vigorously apply itself to the true and faithful recovery of such traditional arts, sciences, and philosophies which have already been displaced by other cultures. | ||||||||||||||||
The Journal of Official Proceedings and Reviewed Articles of The Royal Necromantic Society | |||||||||||||||||

The Royal Necromantic Society shall publish, from time to time, a peer-reviewed Journal of Offical Proceedings and Reviewed Articles which shall discuss, for the benefit of the academic community and for the enlightenemnet of such members of the public as may thereby benefit, such researches, studies, and experiments as the Fellows of the Society may have conducted towards the chartered purposes of the Society, and which shall report on the work of non-Fellows in areas pertaining to the chartered purposes of the Society and such areas of scholarship or general knowledge as may benefit the Fellows of the Society in their work. Each featured article in the said Journal shall contain at its beginning an abstract in the English language summarizing the contents and conclusions of the featured article, provided that the article is not itself written in the English language. The author or authors of any such articles or images submitted for publication to the Journal of Official Proceedings and Reviewed Articles of The Royal Necromantic Society (by whatsoever name or names it shall be officially or commonly known) shall, by their submission of the same to The Royal Necromantic Society for publication, warrant that the same is their own true work, and shall fully indemnify and hold harmless The Royal Necromantic Society, its Officers, Fellows, Patrons, and Sponsors, and all persons or organizations as may publish or distribute the said writings and any illustrations of whatever type which shall accompany the said writings, from any legal actions, civil or criminal, which shall arise from the publication and/or distribution of such writings and images; such authors further warrant that they themselves accept full legal responsibility and liability for the verification of the copyright, patent, and trademark status of any and all material contained in such writings and/or images, and shall fully indemnify and hold harmless The Royal Necromantic Society, its Officers, Fellows, Patrons, and Sponsors, and all persons or organizations as may publish or distribute the said writings or images for any violations of national and/or international copyright, trademark, patent or other laws as may be applicable to such material. Unless otherwise specifically provided for in writing, the copyright to all materials published in the Journal of Official Proceedings and Reviewed Articles of The Royal Necromantic Society shall be vested in their authors or creators, but, upon submission to the Journal of Official Proceedings and Reviewed Articles of The Royal Necromantic Society (by whatsoever name or names it shall be officially or commonly known), The Royal Necromantic Society or such person or persons as The Society may designate, may thereafter publish, reproduce, and distribute the same in any form or media whatsoever, whether by print, electronically or otherwise, without any further compensation whatsoever to the author or authors or creators of such work, provided that the authorship or creatorship of such work, shall, when known to The Royal Necromantic Society, be duly credited upon such publication, reproduction, and/or distribution. No license to publish, reproduce, and distribute the same in any form or manner without further compensation to The Royal Necromantic Society or such person or persons as The Society may designate, or to the author or authors or creators of such work shall be deemed to be extended to any other society, association, company, or persons by this clause without the specific and official consent of the International Secretary of The Royal Necromantic Society. | ||||||||||||||||

The Cybernetic Discussion Board and Miscellaneous Correspondence of The Royal Necromantic Society | |||||||||||||||||

The International Secretary of The Royal Necromantic Society, or such person or persons as the International Secretary may duly designate, shall maintain at all times a moderated Cybernetic Discussion Board connected to the World Wide Web which shall act as an immediate clearinghouse for those thoughts and discoveries of the Fellows of The Society and of other interested parties which shall be deemed to merit immediate attention, but which may not, in and of themselves, merit full peer-reviewed publication in the Journal and Official Proceedings of The Royal Necromantic Society; insofar as possible, postings upon the said Cybernetic Discussion Board shall be in the English language. The International Secretray of The Royal Necromantic Society may also authorize, from time to time, the publication of Miscellaneous Correspondence, which shall pertain to the chartered purposes of The Society, but which need not be peer-reviewed. Such non-peer-reviewed publications shall explicitly state at their beginnings that they are not peer-reviewed and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Royal Necromantic Society, its Fellows, Patrons, or Sponsors, but only represent the views and opinions of the author or authors of such Miscellaneous Correspondence. The author or authors or creators of any such postings upon the Cybernetic Discussion Board or Miscellaneous Correspondence shall, by their submission of the same to The Royal Necromantic Society for posting or publication, warrant that the same is their own true work, and shall fully indemnify and hold harmless The Royal Necromantic Society, its Officers, Fellows, Patrons, and Sponsors, and all persons or organizations as may publish or distribute the said writings and any illustrations of whatever type which shall accompany the said writings, from any legal actions, civil or criminal, which shall arise from the publication and/or distribution of such writings and images; such authors furhter warrant that they themselves accept full legal responsibility and liability for the verification of the copyright, patent, and trademark status of any material contained in such writings and/or images, and shall fully indemnify and hold harmless The Royal Necromantic Society, its Officers, Fellows, Patrons, and Sponsors, and all persons or organizations as may publish or distribute the said writings or images for any violations of national and/or international copyright, trademark, patent or other laws as may be applicable to such material.
